STILLLIFE

“Not only beautiful flowers but also buds and withered flowers have life, and each has its own beauty. By arranging flowers with reverence, one refines oneself” - Senno Ikenobo

To bring the outdoors in, along with the awareness of our surroundings and the stillness of life. Call it Ikebana, call it Wabi Sabi; the act of collecting flora and placing it in a container seems to be as old as human creativity and our ability to appreciate it. An attentive melancholy and a thriving backyard bring endless design possibilities and creative opportunities. After all, it is about enjoying the simple beauty of nature and the impermanence of all things.
